Massage Therapy For Musculoskeletal Pain Relief and Restored Function.
About The Practitioner

Thank You for visiting my site. My name is Jason Charles founder of Integrated Massage and Somatic Therapies. I have practiced massage therapy for seven years and have worked with a variety of clients mostly as an independent contractor but on an employee basis as well.

Clients I have had the opportunity to work with in the past included various occupations such as bus drivers, teachers, fellow health care professionals including massage therapist, postal workers and more.

My strategy Is to apply and reinforce massage therapy as a tool to help clients maintain the best lifestyle possible with the addition of being free of musculoskeletal pain.

All work is based off principles relating to movement and the relationships between muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, joints, and fascia which  are important types of connective tissues that benefit from massage therapy.

My method is to systematically apply massage to the affected muscles and surrounding structures, therefore treating the body holistically, as opposed to quickly treating the symptoms.

My treatment plans are formulated from the information provided solely on the intake forms and is explained prior to the session beginning. Once the treatment plan is agreed upon the session will begin. If there are questions or concerns regarding the treatment clients are always obliged to address them at any time.

At the conclusion of  each session a final assessment is observed and noted.

The final assessment is specifically for the purpose of observing the muscles massaged to see the results; if there are changes in regards to how they functioned prior to the session versus how they do after.

It is at this point if change is gained and the cause of pain, soreness, and tension are addressed that the therapeutic effects of massage therapy occurs.

Massage Therapy is a beneficial and non-invasive way to treat many common musculoskeletal pain related symptoms, providing their origins are not orthopedic in nature  but rather musculoskeletal.

Massage Therapy also benefits clients who are diagnosed with auto immune disorders such as lupus, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia.

I have experience working with many clients diagnosed with auto immune disorders. The treatment plan is tailored differently depending on the client but the goal is to address the peripheral nervous system with massage therapy.

My hope is that you find this information beneficial and informative, Best of health to you, feel free to book a session.
